Graduated from Monash University in 1984 and completed his ophthalmology training in Melbourne and Glasgow before establishing Waverley Eye Clinic in 1994. 

He is a general ophthalmologist with extensive experience in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the eye.

His particular interests include diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, retinal vascular disease (such as diabetic retinopathy), ocular inflammation, disorders of the eyelids, neurological diseases of the eye, paediatric eye conditions, ocular emergencies, and cataract with state of the art small incision surgical techniques.
